From Aesthetic Movement to Mid-Century Icons and Contemporary Masters
Duke’s Art & Design Post-1860 department specialises in furniture, decorative arts, and objects from 1860 to the present day. Encompassing influential movements such as the Aesthetic Movement, Japonism, Arts & Crafts, Art Deco, and Mid-Century Modernism, our curated biannual auctions celebrate the very best of late 19th- and 20th-century creativity.
Our sales regularly feature iconic names including Clarice Cliff, René Lalique, Heal’s, Liberty, Omar Ramsden, and Poole Pottery, and increasingly focus on the rising market for mid-century and Scandinavian design — with in-demand makers like G Plan, Ercol, and Eames attracting a new generation of collectors.
