From Horse-Drawn to Horsepower - A Legacy Since 1823
Duke’s has been handling transport of all kinds since our founding in 1823. While horses and carts have become a rarity, interest in vintage, classic, and modern transport has never been stronger.
In 2019, we held our first dedicated Transport Auction, driven by our long-standing passion for all things automotive and the growing interest in this dynamic collectors’ field. Encompassing travel by land, sea, and air, our sales have featured everything from early Marklin model railways to Martin Baker ejector seats, and even exceptionally rare motorcars -such as the 1908 Thomas Flyer (pictured).
Though dedicated transport auctions are now reserved for significant private collections, vehicles and transport-related objects are regularly offered in our Quarterly Fine Art Sales, and occasionally in our Avenue Collectors’ Auctions.
